hello!

so, here's a bit about me. i am a photographer, and i live in seattle.

i love the way the sea here reflects light. i love the way a darkroom smells. i love serendipitous outbursts of authentic, belly-shaking laughter, and i love it even more when i see someone experiencing this kind of joy and i have a camera.

for the past decade i have owned shades of gray photography, and it has been a grand adventure in capturing and documenting human emotion. i have photographed dozens of weddings, welcomed newborns into the world through my lens, created portraits of childhood, and captured the fearlessness of breast cancer fighters, among other amazing subjects.

my approach to photography is grounded in the firm belief that great photographs are about feeling as much as they are about seeing.
